I am a Washington state native, born in Anacortes in 1944, to a father who was born there in 1895. His father and grandmother came to Fidalgo Island in 1872 and homesteaded on land where I grew up. I have don a lot of research on my family using open records and ask that such records remain open to public access. I do not believe restricting access serves any truly useful purpose.
Thank you for considering my comments and request.
