Thanks to all the people that contribute to this blog and make it so fun to post each week

This postcard is from my aunt Carrie Hansen to my grandmother Anna Hansen. Carrie was away at college and later became a teacher.

Don’t you just love the old postcards! What a heartfelt note to “mamma”. On a sad note some members of our church doing a history scan project ran across a postcard with 8 people in the photo, some names labeled. Two people were labeled “Dr. Bulgin & Arthur. On the back, it said Oct 1920 taken before Arthur was killed. Our history scan group looked up this and found out that Arthur was killed in an accident right after the postcard photo was taken while bird hunting. His father and another man are holding guns. Someone had the photo printed to a postcard. Sunnyside, Washington Oct 1920, newspaper.com
