Disclaimer #1: All data for pioneers, including proper sources, has been verified and approved by the WSGS Pioneer Pursuit Contest committee. We cannot, however, verify the accuracy of subsequent generational data. Every genealogist who uses this data should verify the information given and verify the source materials to make sure all data is correct.
Disclaimer #2: If new, more accurate data becomes available on any Pioneer, we will post the new data immediately following the current data with a notation showing the revision.
Before 1900, Native Americans did not have surnames as traditionally used in European or American conventions. The database uses a * for individuals without a surname. You can use * in the Last Name field to search for such individuals.
