SOMETHING BORROWED …
An amusing anecdote
From the Pawnee Republican
May 30, 1996
Ever since Alex Haley wrote Roots, interest in genealogy has soared. But there are some who lose interest when they uncover a black sheep, and it seems every family has at least one.
One family, who discovered they had a murderer who got the chair, didn’t know whether to include or omit his place in the family history. They solved the problem by writing, “Uncle Lewis occupied a chair of applied electronics in an important government institution. He was attached to his position by the strongest of ties and his death came as a real shock.”
