OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS

If one could see a bright side to this trying year 2020, it would have to be that there are so many more online learning opportunities today. Look at the SGS Calendar of Events. Look at the items under Save the Dates – items from Auburn, Washington to Washington, DC to Oklahoma. Because of technology, no matter where you live, you can “attend” these events, near or far.

Our SGS Second Saturday presentations are very popular. You are all invited to the next one, October 10, at 1:00 pm PDT, when Lori Lee Sauber will present “Did My Ancestors Really Pay for the Mayflower Voyage”. This is the conclusion to Lori’s story, “Mayflower and Me”, from the July 31st eNews! Click below to reread that story:

If Scandinavian genealogy is your thing, we have a group for that. Their next meeting is Sunday, October 11, at 1:00 pm PDT. There will be presentations on Moveable Feast Days, as well as Swedish Estate Inventories.

Don’t forget about the SGS 2020 Fall Seminar (Virtual) with Blaine Bettinger, Saturday, October 17, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm PDT. Register today. Now, more than every, your support is important and appreciated.
