Lisa Louise Cooke found her passion for family history at her grandmother’s knee at the age of eight. She is presently one of the leading genealogist in America today, having written several books including The Genealogist’s Google Toolbox, How to Find you Family History in Newspapers and the video series, Google Earth for Genealogy.

She is the producer and Host of the Genealogy Gems Podcast, a popular online genealogy audio show available at www.GenealogyGems.com. She is also the producer and Host of the Family Tree Magazine Podcast, author of the Lisa’s Picks column in Family Tree Magazine and a curriculum developer and instructor for Family Tree University. She is sought after as a national and international speaker.

It’s a new decade, so if you think you know how to Google, think again! Technology changes rapidly and keeping our search skills updated and sharp is key to search success. Come learn the latest Google Search Methodology for Genealogy. You’ll hear about the latest and best search innovations, and learn the process that will dramatically improve your genealogical search results. These skills can be used with all associated Google tools.

11:05 am – 12:05 pm Session II Ancestry Top Tips and Hidden Secrets

Discover what you didn’t know about Ancestry. We’ll cover little known search strategies and collections that will reinvigorate your genealogy.

12:05 pm – 12:45 pm Lunch break

12:45 pm – 2:45 pm Session III How to Reopen and Work a Genealogical Cold Case

Become a genealogical detective in this vital session. You’ll learn to track ancestors like a criminal cold case detective, sniffing out holes in your research and getting missing information on the record with cutting edge technology.

2:45 pm – 3 pm Closing Remarks
