Clallam County Genealogical Society (Local society meetings)
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Virtual
The featured speaker for the Clallam County Genealogical Society meeting will be “Are You Really My Ancestor? Getting Unstuck, Working Through Research Problems” with Claire Smith. She tells us “When you find a name match for an ancestor, it’s tempting to believe you’re related. A name isn’t enough to prove the relationship, especially if you have a common surname – like mine!” In this session you’ll learn what it takes to prove a lineage, and how to handle conflicting information or multiple potential matches. To hear this delightful speaker, or for more information about our programs, contact CCGS. Phone: 360-417-5000; webpage: www.clallamcogs@askus.org or email: clallamresearcher@gmail.com
We will send you the Zoom meeting number and passcodes. You can always join us at our large Research Facility: 403 E 8th St., Port Angeles. There is no charge for this program and all are welcome.
