This could include any questions or problems we are having with the program or tips and features we have discovered.  If you think of something you would like to bring up, please write it down so you can share it with the group.

Tacoma Pierce County Genealogical Society Meeting Tues May 10th at 6:30 pm

The Tacoma Pierce County Genealogical Society invites you to attend our May meeting.
At approximately 7pm, Jessica Jones, Reference Archivist for the Washington State Archives, Puget Sound Branch, will present an introduction to the Puget Sound Regional Archives. She will also give an overview of records frequently used by genealogical researchers and provide helpful information for those interested in the process of researching in person or submitting remote requests for records.  You’re welcome to bring your questions.

  Our speakers will be The Genealogy Guys George Morgan & Drew Smith   George G. Morgan is president of Aha! Seminars, Inc.(R) and an internationally recognized genealogy presenter. He is the co-host of the longest running genealogical podcast, The Genealogy GuysSM Podcast, with thousands of listeners around the globe. His company also produces the Genealogy Connection podcast. He produces and maintains The Genealogy Guys Blog. The company offers a subscription genealogy education site, Genealogy Guys Learn, with new content added each month.   George is the prolific, award-winning author of 14 books and hundreds of articles for magazines, journals, newsletters, in genealogical publications, and international online sites. His fourth edition of How to Do Everything: Genealogy is a standard for genealogy in the English-speaking world. He co-authored the Advanced Genealogy Research Techniques, and has a chapter published in Professional Genealogy: Preparation, Practice & Standards. Kathryn gives webinars for the BYU Family History Library and presents at other family history events. In addition, she’s a regular contributor to the FamilySearch blog.  Her specialty is helping new family historians find success-and maybe even avoid some of the mistakes she’s made.
