A Proud Heritage African American Family History Event

Attend the African American Family History Event on February 5, 2022. It will be both in person and live zoomed with some pretty great classes.

Thom Reed – The African American Heritage Director will speak about searching Freedman Records
Joe Price – BYU Records Linking Lab will speak about the African American Records Project that is assisting the International African American Family History Museum – soon to open in South Carolina

We are also hosting a DNA for beginners class, Family Search Memories and Journaling Class and a class to show the Tacoma-Pierce Records Project. We have the Tacoma Public Library Oral History Station, Scanning Station and more. We will have grab and go breakfast foods and boxed lunches.

I hope that some recordings will be available afterward, because my Black Genealogy Research Group meeting will conflict! Unfortunate timing.
